Social Transition: Embracing Opportunities for Regional Development

The conference aims to become a platform for Central Asian sociologists and social scientists to share research findings, conclusions, and experiences. This event aims to foster communication and collaboration among specialists working in various branches of sociology, with one of its key objectives being to contribute to the development of social sciences in the region. Through this conference, the gradual and systematic introduction of international experience to local areas is intended.

Association of Sociologists of Uzbekistan and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Uzbekistan invite young sociologists and researchers to apply for Summer School from August 21 to August 25, 2023 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The Summer School is designed for young students, researchers and practitioners in sociological and related fields to gain critical understanding of key methods and approaches to conducting social science research, develop capability on applying social science research methods, publish in the peer-reviewed journals, establish unique network with leading scholars.

International Conference on Advancing Sociological Research in Uzbekistan

Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT), together with the Association of sociologists of Uzbekistan, the Republican Centre for Public Opinion Surveys “Ijtimoiy Fikr” and the National Association of non-governmental non-profit organizations of Uzbekistan, convened an international conference on "Current trends in the advancement of sociological research", which was  held on the 31 May, 2021.
